It's been a week now, and my baby is still in the shop. I should have went with MY computer guys, not my husband's friends. It was done within a day or two with them, but these guys sound like a bunch of potheads. They are a legitimate business though, and I'm saving $50, but I'm sitting here on his buddy's laptop questioning is that $50 REALLY worth it?!
I've dealt with withdrawals from depression medication and pain meds, but this has got to be far worse! I have enjoyed the extra time with my family. Caleb and me decided I wouldn't spend so much time online when my computer is fixed. His attitude has greatly improved this past week! I've figured out that I need to balance life a little better when I get my computer home.
I was seriously thinking of not coming back, I thought it would be nice to have all the free time I wanted. But, after a few days I realize why I do what it is I do. It's not a real job, but having to meet certain deadlines and a little paycheck every month sure did help in more ways than one.
I'm anxiously awaiting for my computer to be released. I've had to go through 4,000 emails since I haven't been online in so long. I can't wait to come back. Missing yall!

I agree!! Blackberry and computer withdrawal is worse than anything from drugs or alcohol! I swear! LOL I hope it comes back soon.
Hahaha! My computer crashed now long ago and I thought the same thing! It is amazing how dependent we are on things once they are gone!

I had to bring mine in for a day and felt like my arm was cut off! It is seriously a part of me...kinda sad.
I've so been there. My lap top has been in the shop more times in the last yr than I care to count. Glad to hear that things between you and hubby are going well. That sure is nice isn't it. It's all about time management. As soon as I figure that out I'll let ya know
the power was out for 4 hours last week and i was too tired to read.... and i sat there wondering what is there to do - i was so relieved when the power came back on and i could go online - what did i do before computers?
When my laptop got sick it was horrible but it was nice to just spend time with my family and not have to worry about anything online. Hope your back soon.

Except mine is from nursing hubby since a week ago Friday for knee replacement surgery.. we are stuck in our lower level so no stairs and NO internet.. I am just now able to sneak away for a few "me" moments & poke my head into my inbox, yup lots of newsletters.

I got a nasty virus on my laptop about a year ago thanks to some lovely folks on Facebook. By the time it was all over (about $100 in repairs, thanks very much) I was ready to climb the walls. :-{
I'm compulsive about my computer, and must check emails every hour. Think they should come up with a 12-step program for computer addicts?

Hugs I feel for you. My laptop plug broke and now i can't recharge my battery. Would you believe they told me it would be a week before they got a new one in and mailed it to me then I said well what if its the battery and they said when I get the plug if it won't charge bring in the battery then we'll order one of those for you..It'll take a week.
