I was so excited to try this cookbook from Jane Doiron, "Make Ahead Meals for Busy Moms" thanks to Amy at Mom Spark. Even though I'm a stay home mom, most days are very busy with 3 active children. It's always been struggle to make delicious home-cooked meals, but I've found a way to do it in this cookbook. The recipes you'll find are simple, easy to make, and taste absolutely wonderful!

Browsing through the book, you'll find a wide variety of meals, snacks, and desserts to satisfy any appetite. She's included everything you'll need to make a great homemade meal in a jiffy for any time-Appetizers,Breakfast and Brunch,Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Soups and Desserts.


I've tried several dinner recipes so far. The BBG Kielbasa and Chicken Enchiladas are to die for! Look at how yummy the enchiladas look? I MADE THEM! The enchiladas were easy and fast to make. The key in Make Ahead Meals is making your dish in steps. Often you'll make the dish the day before, and come home and just stick it in the oven. Simple, right?

I've looked at several "make-ahead" meals and never found any like Jane's. Most are quite time consuming, or can be difficult to follow with so many instructions. It's hard to focus when you've got a 2 y/o pulling your pant leg. I prefer fast, simple dishes, but I get worn out on Hamburger Helper.

Jane Doiron is a busy working mom of two boys. She is an Elementary School teacher with a passion for cooking and experimenting with recipes. With her busy schedule, Jane has found that make-ahead meals are time-savers, money-savers and are the best alternatives to eating "take-out." Jane's cookbook is the result of her years of seeking out new recipes, experimenting with family-favorite recipes, and turning them into make-ahead meals. .
